Queen City (Charlotte, NC)

Ever wake up in the morning expecting your day to unfold a certain way, to only be surprised with a hit from reality? Monday morning was just that. I woke up, got ready and headed to work (like any other Monday). To my surprise, I was flying out to Charlotte later that evening. I left work after 2 hours to go home and pack so I could catch my flight! During my week in Charlotte, the days flew by at work, and the evenings were enjoyable by eating, drinking, and having a good time with friends. After spending the week in Charlotte for work, I went home for the weekend (long weekend) to only come back to Charlotte for another week! I've listed a few spots I enjoyed while in Charlotte. If you're ever in the area, be sure to check it out!

  • Fahrenheit: the ambience is great and the city view is quite breathtaking!
    • Does it get any better than having a drink or two (Moscow Mule & Mojito) with a view?
  • Carolina Ale House: casual restaurant and sports bar
    • One too many Long Island Iced Teas (Southern Style)? I don't think so!
  • Cowbell Burger & Whiskey Bar: great food, great service
    • Daniel California Burger - because I love AVOCADO, I just had to try!
  • Wooden Robot Brewery: a variety of beer
    • 1st Beer: Botbier (Blonde Ale)
    • 2nd Beer: Citrust Fall (Farmhouse Ale) -- more my style!

  • Howl at the Moon: lively bar ft. dueling piano shows - you request a song, they sing and play it
    • $4 Titos, good music, good company - what a night!
  • Mac's Speed Shop
    • Shared with two others, we ordered from the 'Platters to fill you up' section of the menu! Combo Platter - 'A whole lot of stuff' and let me tell you, this was A WHOLE LOT OF STUFF! The combo platter included the following
      • Hand Pulled Pork, Beer Can Chicken, St. Louis Ribs, Beef Brisket
